Inconel 625 is a Ni-Cr-Mo-Nb solid-solution-strengthened alloy (~58 Ni, 20-23 Cr, 8-10 Mo, 3.15-4.15 Nb+Ta) with broad corrosion resistance across oxidizing + reducing media, excellent fatigue strength, and service to ~1800 F. Per ASTM F468 for nonferrous bolting in seawater, sour-service, and high-temperature chemical equipment.
In annealed condition: tensile 110 ksi min, yield 55 ksi min, elongation 30% min. In stress-relieved condition: tensile 135 ksi, yield 95 ksi. TorqBolt typically supplies F468 Inconel 625 bolting in annealed condition for chemical-process service and in stress-relieved condition for high-strength applications.

Inconel 625 dominates Monel 400 in: high-temperature service (Monel limited to ~900 F creep, 625 useful to 1800 F), chloride pitting and crevice corrosion, oxidizing acids (Monel poor in HNO3, 625 excellent), and applications requiring 2x+ the proof load. Monel 400 wins on cost and clean-seawater simplicity.
