Nickel-aluminum bronze C63000 (NAB) is a Cu-Al-Ni-Fe alloy (~82 Cu, 9.5 Al, 5 Ni, 4 Fe) per ASTM F468 - the premium aluminum bronze for marine + severe service bolting. Tensile 90-115 ksi, yield 50-70 ksi. The workhorse marine pump + propeller bolting alloy.
Marine propeller hardware, pump impeller shaft bolts, naval shipboard bolting, desalination plant fasteners, and any seawater service requiring high strength + cavitation resistance + galvanic compatibility with bronze workpieces. The standard high-strength marine bronze.
C63000 is stronger but heavier; C71500 has better resistance to ammoniacal seawater corrosion and is the preferred alloy for condenser tube-sheet bolting in some chemistries. C63000 is the structural marine fastener; C71500 is the heat-exchanger fastener.
Full F468 range - ASME B16.5 flange studs (marine valve bolting), B18.2.1 hex cap screws, B18.3 socket head, B18.31.2 clamping studs. Highest-volume nickel-aluminum bronze fastener spec.
