- Condition (4.2.2): copper alloys and Ni 400/405 as formed or stress relieved at the manufacturer's option; Ni 500 solution annealed and aged; Ni 625 annealed; 2024-T4 solution treated and naturally aged; 6061-T6 solution treated and artificially aged; 7075-T73 solution treated and stabilized; titanium as formed
- Threads (7.3): Class 2A per ASME B1.1, gaged to ASME B1.3 system 21; socket head cap screws Class 3A UNRC/UNRF to 1.000 in., 2A above
- Dimensions (7.1, 7.2): hex cap screws and bolts ASME B18.2.1; socket head cap screws ASME B18.3; studs as specified by the purchaser (continuous thread, double-end clamping, double-end interference)
- Tests (6): full-size tension and wedge tension (10/6 degrees; 6/4 when threaded to the head; Ti 5 Class B 6/4 and 4/2), machined specimens where full size is impractical, hardness for short parts; hardness is information only for aluminum and titanium; tension governs where both are run
- Marking (16.1): manufacturer's symbol plus the Table 2 property marking, raised or depressed
- Supplementary requirements: S1 stress corrosion (B154 mercurous nitrate for copper alloys; conductivity-yield for 7075-T73), S2 shipment lot testing, S3 dye penetrant, S4 heat control (Ni 400/405/500), S5 Ni 500 to QQ-N-286
